So I was fooling around with a security camera system today. Plug and play my ass. Well, maybe if you just want the basic things like it recording. If you want anything else, like hooking it to your network for viewing/control from a computer or accessing it remotely then you need a degree in computers. After half the day I finally got to access on the PC. Windows only. Firefox browser only. Chrome and Edge say there needs to be a plugin installed. Then I got the manufacturers program to work. Then email notifications to work. I had to install a firmware update, try different ports, maybe port forwarding worked some, who knows. Another day I'll see about trying to get it to work on mobile. Then the other browsers. Then Linux. Then.....
