So while on my Tennessee trip this past weekend I get some Chinese food and check the fortune cookie. Fortune is "You will be awarded some great honor." I said to myself that I was going to buy some lottery tickets with the numbers on the fortune. That was around 7:30 on Saturday night. On my way back home Sunday I finally remember to get tickets in Tennessee. One ticket was a Cash 3 with the numbers 276 Any Order for the next drawing. That was for Evening Oct 30. Today I check the numbers. That drawing ended up being 010. Nope, not a winner. No chicken dinner. Curious for some reason, I checked to see if 276 was a winner at any time. CASH 3, 10/29/2016, Evening, 762, Lucky Sum 15, Payout $70,329.00 That drawing was at about 6:30pm. Soooooo...... About an hour before I got the fortune cookie there was a drawing of those same numbers. I missed winning a few bucks by about 25 hours. LOL Maybe one of the other tickets will win. Maybe.

I forgot to bring a wall charger but since I'm smart I just plugged the city into the TV. Yup, it's an HD TV using the antenna jack. SMH But I did get a king sized bed all for myself. Note to pass out just like the Cubs are doing.

I learned something new today. While watching a video on Linux Shell scripting the narrator (foreign accent) was reading #! /bin/sh He read it as The Hash Sign, Shriek, Followed By The Bin Sh Path I had never heard of Shriek before and had to replay it to make sure I was hearing it correctly. Sure enough it's a term for !. From Wikipedia: Slang and other names for the exclamation mark In the printing world, the exclamation mark can be called a screamer, a gasper, a slammer, or a startler. In hacker culture, the exclamation mark is called "bang", "shriek", or, in the British slang known as Commonwealth Hackish, "pling". For example, the password communicated in the spoken phrase "Your password is em-nought-pee-aitch-pling-en-three" is m0ph!n3. Makes sense and it's easier to say than EXCLAMATION POINT. PLING sounds funny though.

So I go to get a haircut today and find out that the barbershop is closed as they went on vacation. Sooooo, I go to Walmart and see if they have any decent shirts for job interviews. Yup, they have lots of different shirts if you wear a size SMALL or 2XL. But I did find one XL that was decent. Now I just have to wait for Wednesday to roll around for that interview.

Visited temp agency and filled out some paperwork with them. Passed by potential job and wondered why there's a guard tower in one corner of the property. *fingers crossed though* Nice lunch with Lisa Ladyquilter Smit. Broke out the string trimmer, edger, mower and pole saw. Cut down a small Maple that was dying and cut the old Red Tip stumps to ground level. Got all the lawn work done except the backyard. That still needs to be cut. Ran out of energy by then.

Just saw a different flavor of Pringles. Pecan Pie.
I just did an online job "assessment" type test and I wonder how old the person who designed it was. Besides using Java and not being able to use Chrome or Edge browsers and having to use Firefox it had terms that I haven't heard of in ages. Rheostat = reminds me of vacuum tubes Germanium transistors = reminds me of tubes again There were also questions on WELDING on the BASIC ELECTRONICS test. One question was about Ben Franklin's belief on current flow. A couple on Kirchhoff's law. Reminded me of Star Trek and confused me. Since I haven't really worked with color codes recently I hope I passed the audition. Whatever I didn't get right I'm sure I can refresh myself on the job and do good. Other tests I did was on loading trailers with forklifts that had questionable questions. Where should the forks be when traveling with no load? (or something to that effect) The only answer that sounded "right" was : all the way down. But that is wrong in a way. They should be slightly/a few inches off the ground. I hate tests. Anyway, I go meet the temp agency involved with this tomorrow! That means I can try and relax some today, since yesterday was long (but fun), and maybe cut down a tree.

What am I doing wrong here?
This is why we can't have good things. Happened this weekend sometime I guess. Police came out and he recommended cameras. He had to put some at his apartment because his patrol car tires got slashed. Now I get to spend more money I don't have.

I cooked some classic Italian pasta salad (Kraft) and added some chicken breast (Winn-Dixie). After getting through a bunch of the cooking I noticed that it called for some Italian salad dressing. Whoops. Used some Italian seasoning, apple cider vinegar (didn't have white wine vinegar and didn't want to open a bottle of red win vinegar) and olive oil. Not too bad for last minute. If there are no posts from Lisa or I the it's probably from my cooking. lol Now to finish off that bottle of wine. I don't know how I've had already. Must be 3 ounces or so with an ounce or two left.
