So Lisa and I went to see Cptn. Merica: Civil War (or whatever the title is) tonight thanks to some passes from my sister. We get there a little late and wait in the long line outside. People are being let in. We get in the building. They run out of wristbands which means they "sold out" the screening. Ok, now what to do. Ok, let's see Jungle Book. Checking the video monitors for times. They keep changing every time I look but it looks like the next 3d showing is at 9. Too late at night for that. Ok, how about Huntsman? There's a 7:20 showing. Got the tickets. Order expensive munchies after dealing with monitors that keep changing to what I DON'T want to see. Checking theater number I notice that theater #1 has Jungle Book for 7!!! Look at tickets and see a time for the showing was 6:20. Ummmm, I asked for 7:20. WTF? And it's like 6:35 now. Wait for customer service for a few minutes. "Oh, you want the IMAX 3D?" Yes, I don't want 2D at all. Regular 3D would be OK. But not 2D. Paid extra to get the IMAX printed on the tickets. Get into empty theater at 7, watch many trailers and then enjoy the movie. I liked it. I think the 3D was great and 2D might be OK, but for this mostly CGI film 3D is a good plus. Acting, including voice acting, was good. Only two songs during the film with a couple extra sings during the credits. The last one was from Dr. John. Anyway. Jungle Book was good and I have no idea how Capn Crunch:Cereal War was. Bed now. Work tomorrow. Crawfish tomorrow night.
