Ok, Christmas is over and New Years Day is just a few days away. Now what is after NYD? For most of the country/world it'd be St. Valentine's Day. But us weirdos in New Orleans are different. This coming year we have MARDI GRAS PARADES mixed in that time with Mardi Gras Day on the 18th of February. Along with the traditional parades there are non-traditionals like the Krewe of Barkus dog themed parade, Krewe of Chewbacchus sci-fi themed parade (and actual religion) , satirical parades, shoe and purse themed parades, kids and boat parades.
