I was about to get in my car last Sunday when I noticed two birds in a "dogfight". At first I thought it was a crow and mockingbird. Then I noticed it was a Bald Eagle attacking another bird. I'm not sure what the other bird was but for a second it looked like a duck. I quickly grabbed my camera that I had just put in the car, turned it on and started shooting. Unfortunately I didn't take the time to set it up to get good video and the focus was WAY off through most of it.
BTW, Benjamin Franklin wanted the wild turkey to be the national bird. I think the Bald Eagle is more majestic and it'd be wrong to eat the national bird every Thanksgiving. I'm hoping that YouTube stabilized it a little for me.
We took our dog out to the dog park in Lafreniere Park today. It was his first outing since we got him. He behaved himself retty well but was still a little protective/possesive of Lisa.
It's not that often we make it to the zoo and I had to take a vacation day in order to make it this time. But it was worth it even though it was cut short so they could get set up for Boo at the Zoo.
