Auto Draft

I thought up a new game that could be released on Facebook if someone wants to program it. The game is called “PoacherVille”. In this game you would go to your friends FarmVille, FishVille, and FrontierVille and go a huntin’.

Heck you can even go to CafeWorld to get some coffee after an early morning hunt.

Or how about heading to Petville to get some good huntin’ hounds?

Even Treasure Isle would provide some much need jewels and treasures as well as provide a nice island getaway after a long day of runnin’ from the law.

Finally, if you feel that you have too much to do by yourself, go to YoVille and get some cheap slave labor.

BP Math

From BP: http://www.bp.com/genericarticle.do?categoryId=2012968&contentId=7062660

About 14,000 individuals and businesses in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida have received an initial advance payment for loss of income or net profit to date.
With the second payment, about 7900 individuals and businesses in Louisiana will have received about $50 million for loss of income or net profit by the end of June. The numbers for Alabama are about 3000 claimants receiving about $16 million, in Mississippi about 1900 individuals and businesses receiving about $10 million, and in Florida about 1200 claimants receiving about $8 million. BP expects these numbers will grow as claims continue to be filed during the month.

$50 million dollars sounds like a lot of money right? WOW!!! They really are doing something for the people that are out of work. NOT!!!

Let’s do some math with the parts I put in BOLD. $50 million divided up and going to that 14,000 individuals and businesses ends up being an average of $3,571.43! It’s been over 50 days since the spill and most of those fishermen, and fisherwomen, can make more than that in A WEEK. How is that helping them? By the end of the summer, when the leak is supposed to POSSIBLY be stopped, they will be broke and banks will be repossessing their boats and equipment.

BP just does not get it. They are not just killing birds, sea life and marshes. They are killing off the livelihoods of the great people of Southern Louisiana. Remember that next time you get seafood that’s brought in from foreign countries and it just doesn’t taste as good as Gulf seafood.

Mystery Nest solved!!!

About a year and a half years ago I posted about finding a “nest” but not knowing what made it.

Well, I think I finally found out what made it. I kind of doubted it was a birds nest from my original searching. It was small enough to be a humming birds nest but it was very smooth and “silky” inside. Someone from Illinois recently emailed asking about it so late last night I decided to search for it online again.

According to what I fund it’s a Polyphemus Moth.

Here’s a photo taken from Wikipedia showing how pretty a moth can be.

Some other links for proof:

I’m still a little disappointed it’s not a humming bird or even a butterfly but I’m happy to find that it’s not a space alien. Of course if an alien came to this planet the’yd leave very fast since they would have a hard time finding intelligent life.

Fun day at work. NOT!!!

So I got hungry at work tonight. I went back to the office and made a mistake of saying that I was going to Taco Bell. Of course 2 people wanted some food and one wants a cigarette lighter. I go to leave and the exit gate wasn’t working properly. The “do not back up spikes” kept going up and down and the crossing arm was doing nothing. Soooo, I can’t get out the yard.

I end up taking the thing apart to figure out what to do so we can still conduct business and I can get our food. I find that a switch for the arm is broken. Now how do I work around that problem? While I get some tools from the car one of the workers that wanted some Taco Bell calls on the radio and asks if I left yet since she saw my car still there. I explain the problem and she thinks I’m joking. Heck, I’m hungry also. I wouldn’t be doing this when I could be eating some TB. I do my magic and fix it to where we can drive out but it still needs that darn switch. I radio to the back that I can leave now but my hands were dirty so I start going to the back to wash them. The hungriest one wasn’t worried about that, she wanted her food. She’s eating for two.

Ok, now I get to TB and there’s a line for the drive through so I go inside. I order the food that everyone wants and wait, and wait, and wait. Seems like this TB was short on people, and large cup lids (they get some from the back), and napkins (looks like they got some from the bathroom), and sauce packets (they had hot but not mild or fire). Sounds like their shipment of stuff never showed up in time.

While waiting for the food one customer had to get his order corrected and another wanted his money back since it was taking forever. Our newest manager at work (3rd or 4th in a month) calls me and asks if I can pick up a pack of cigarettes for him while I’m out. Meanwhile I’m hungry and getting the shakes and then the manager tells the cashier to tell new customers that they are out of tomatoes and sour cream. Ummm, some of the food I ordered needed sour cream. I can live without the tomatoes for a day. I ask about it and the manager said she might have enough for the orders that were placed. A lady that was about to order found out about the items they were lacking and walked out.

Our food is finally ready, I drive to the nearest gas station, get the cigarettes, almost forget about a lighter and receipt an start driving back. I’m almost there when they hungry, and pregnant, one calls me asking if they had to find the beef or something. Like I didn’t know it was taking forever.

I make it back and everyone is happy since they got what they wanted. YEAH!!!

That’s the last time I go to TB during work.
